Stay safe when traveling by carrying a form that contains all of your medical history with you on your trip. Get a credit card that is associated with your favorite airline or hotel so that you can earn miles or reservations. Often the bonus for your first purchase will be enough to get you a free ticket or night’s stay. Be sure you pay off your balance regularly, though, or the card may cost you more than it saves.

A great low-cost alternative to flying, or driving cross-country, is to take the bus. The bus allows you to really experience the country. You will pass through areas you would never see otherwise, and since you are riding, you can really take in the experience. Bus travel is available in rural or city areas.

When you are traveling, make sure that you always bring a first aid kit in the event of an emergency. It is always safe to carry Neosporin and ibuprofen, especially if you are going to be traveling into unknown territory. Always exercise caution when you are traveling with a quality first aid kit.

Travel light. If you only take a couple of carry-on bags instead of luggage, you will save yourself a lot of time and money. Also not to mention the frustrations of getting your bags claimed and checked, and trying to find it at the luggage carousel. They might even get lost or stolen.
